Ohio City. Get closer to the Near West Side.

Located immediately west of downtown Cleveland and just across the Cuyahoga River, Ohio City is one of Cleveland's oldest and most charming neighborhoods. While its distinctive 19th-century Victorian architecture makes for a charming afternoon walking tour, the city's more modern trappings — a thriving arts scene, trendy specialty stores, and a booming restaurant scene — make Ohio City a perfect One Pass destination.

Let's start at the Market.

The West Side Market is Ohio City's most familiar landmark. A prime destination for food lovers and sightseers alike, the market represents a cross-section of Cleveland culture — as does Ohio City's eclectic collection of restaurants and shops.

Begin your tour of Ohio City early at Le Oui Oui Café, the crème de la crème when it comes to crêpes and foundue a la Francé. Afterward, for a truly transcendental experience, be sure to book a post-brunch massage at Zen Salon on Lorain. For lunch, sample Cleveland's best burger at Heck's on Bridge Avenue, and then swing by Great Lakes Brewing Company to wash it all down with an award-winnign microbrew. For a truly hands-on artistic experience, venture north along West 25th to the Glass Bubble Project on Bridge — a glassblowing studio and classroom. After creating your first lopsided vase, pick up some new wheels at Pride of Cleveland Scooters on West 25th and scoot to Momocho for a modern Mexican feast (try the cactus margarita and guacamole sampler). As the sun sets, wander over to Talkies on Market Avenue and catch a classic movie screening over a hot cup o' Joe. If you miss the show, no worries — pick up the next best thing at the Bookstore on West 25th Street. The perfect ending to a nearly perfect day on the Near West Side.
